Row 2: 6ch, 2dc in next 3ch-sp, skip next 3ch-sp,*(1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in next 3ch-sp, 2 ch, skip next 3ch-sp, 4dc in next 3ch-sp, 2ch *; repeat *to* .
Row 3: 6ch, *2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, (1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in next 3ch-sp, 2ch, 2dc in next dc, dc in next 2dc, 2dc in next dc*; repeat *to* . Inc 1dc at each side dc sts every row until there are 16 dc. Inc rows of puffs' st: 1 puff st, ((3ch, 1 puff st) in same 3ch-sp) 3 times. Dec 1dc at each side dc sts while increasing puff sts.
Row 16: *(1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 3ch-sp, 2ch, 1 dc, 2ch*; repeat *to* .
Row 17: *(1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 3ch-sp, 3ch , skip 2ch-1dc-2ch*; repeat *to* .
Row 18: *(1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 3ch-sp, (1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 3ch-sp*; repeat *to*.
Row 19: Repeat row 18.
Puff st
Step 1: *Wrap the yarn around the hook, insert the hook where required, draw through a loop, repeat from * three more times in the same place. You now have nine loops on the hook. Wrap the yarn around the hook again, and pull through all the loops on the hook.
Step 2: Often, one chain is worked to close the puff.
Cardigan
Make 204 ch, work first row of pattern to make 51 boxes, then follow the pattern. Inc ldc at each side's dc sts every row until there are 16 dc (for 8 rows). Work 9th row without increasing. At the 10th row: begin dec 1dc at each side dc sts and at the same time, follow the inc row of puff st. (4 puff sts in same hole).
At the 11th row, work on the puff sts; (1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 1st 3ch-sp, 2 ch, 4 dc in 2nd 3ch-sp, (1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in 3rd 3ch-sp, and continue decreasing dc from the dc group.
At the 12th row inc 1 dc at each side 4dc sts between the puff sts. Continue increasing and decreasing for 4 rows more. Follow the schema at the 16th, 17th and18th rows. Seperate 15 pairs of puff sts for fornts, 18 pairs of puff sts for sleeves and 31 pairs of puff sts for back while following 19th row.
Sleeves: Work puff st for 15 rows (7,5'), then work dc for 2 rows. Work sc for 2 rows. Fasten off.
Body : Work fronts and back together. Work puff st for 20 rows (10'), then work dc for 1 row. Work sc for 1 row. Fasten off.
Neck: Begin working on the boxes at the first row of body.* (1 puff st, 3ch, 1 puff st) in next 3ch-sp, 2ch, 3dc in next 3 3ch-sp (totaly 9 dc), 2ch*; repeat from *to * until the end of the row. Work for 8 rows. Then, fasten off.
Finishing: Sew the sleeve sides.
